The Inter-Union Commission for the History and Philosophy of Physics (IUCHPP) is part of the Division of History of Science and Technology (DHST) of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science (IUHPS) and of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).
Aims:
Promote the study of the history and philosophy of physics and related sciences across cultures and chronological periods.
Facilitate communication among researchers;
Supports early-career scholars in these fields.
Support cross-disciplinary interactions,
Support the teaching of the history and philosophy of physics.
Act as an advisory body to IUPAP on issues related to ethics.
